Why do we celebrate World Handwashing Day?

In order to educate and encourage the public to see ways and benefits of

 properly washing their hands with soap, every year Global Handwashing 

Day is celebrated on October 15. On this day, people are motivated and

 encouraged to wash their hands with soap at critical times.
